DO YOU DELIVER EVERY IMAGE YOU PHOTOGRAPH?

We don’t deliver every single photo taken throughout your wedding day or family photo session — and that’s a good thing! As professional wedding photographers, we carefully curate your final photo gallery to ensure you receive only the best, most meaningful images.

We eliminate duplicates, test shots, out-of-focus images, and any photos with unflattering expressions. Our goal is to deliver a polished, high-quality collection that tells the full story of your day—without filler or repetition. Every edited image you receive is one you’ll be proud to print, share, and cherish.

Trust that we include every photo you’d actually want to keep, ensuring your final wedding photography gallery is both beautiful and cohesive.

DO YOU DO DESTINATION WEDDINGS?

Yes, we do! While we’re based in Montreal and regularly photograph weddings throughout Quebec and Ontario—including the Eastern Townships—we’re also available for destination weddings worldwide.

Whether you're saying "I do" in the Caribbean, Europe, or anywhere else your love story takes you, we’d be honored to capture it. One of our favorite destination weddings was in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and we’re always excited for the next adventure.

What if our ceremony is in a different language?

Since we're based in Montreal, we’re fully bilingual in French and English—Quebec’s two official languages. Mandy also speaks Polish, which has been a beautiful bridge for connecting with couples from Eastern European backgrounds.

If your ceremony is in a language we don’t speak, rest assured—we take the time to familiarize ourselves with your traditions, key moments, and cultural customs. Every wedding photography package includes a pre-wedding meeting where we walk through your timeline and discuss what’s most important to you. This ensures we’re always ready to capture the moments that matter most.

Even without understanding every word, our years of experience photographing multicultural weddings across Quebec and Ontario have taught us that love speaks louder than language—and we’re here to tell that story beautifully.

Do you provide partial day coverage?

Yes, absolutely. We offer flexible wedding photography and videography packages starting at 4 hours of coverage—perfect for big weddings, elopements, or couples who only need part of their day documented.

Whether you're planning a cozy morning ceremony, a short city hall wedding, or just want coverage for the most important moments, we’re happy to tailor our services to fit your needs.

DO YOU SHOOT IN JPEG OR RAW? AND DO YOU PROVIDE CLIENTS WITH ALL THE FILES?

All of our photoshoots are captured in RAW format to ensure the highest image quality and editing flexibility. RAW files give us full control during post-production, allowing us to bring out the best in every photo—from color correction to lighting adjustments and artistic finishing.

That said, we do not deliver RAW files. Why? Because a RAW image is not a finished product—it’s the digital equivalent of a film negative. We believe in delivering a polished, professional gallery that reflects our style and standards.

5 days after your session, you’ll receive a link to download your fully edited, high-resolution JPEGs—perfect for printing, sharing, and reliving your favorite moments.

For wedding clients, albums are delivered within 8–12 weeks after the shoot, once you've selected your favorite images.

Do you photograph things other than weddings (VIDEO PRODUCTION, headshots, product photography, etc?)

Yes, we do! While weddings are our specialty, we have extensive experience across a wide range of photography and videography services. From family and maternity sessions to brand content, corporate events, and commercial video production—we love telling meaningful stories in all forms.

Absolutely. We believe that choosing your wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make—and that decision should be based on more than just a highlight reel.

While many photographers only share a curated selection of their best images, we take pride in the consistency of our work throughout an entire wedding day. From the quiet moments while you're getting ready to the wild dance floor at the end of the night, we aim to deliver a full, cohesive story—beautifully captured from beginning to end.

My church is beautiful, but it is very dark. Can you handle that? And can I see a sample image?

Absolutely—we’re very experienced with photographing in low-light settings, especially in churches where flash photography is often restricted during the ceremony.

While it’s true that photography and darkness can be a challenging combination, we come fully prepared. We use top-of-the-line low-light camera gear and fast lenses specifically designed to perform in dim environments. Just as importantly, we’ve spent years mastering how to work with available light—so even in the darkest churches, we’re able to capture beautiful, clear, and emotional images.

Do you edit all the photos from my wedding or photoshoot?

Yes, we do. Unlike many studios that only edit a small selection of images, we retouch every single photo we deliver. We believe that each image should meet the highest standards and reflect our signature style—consistent, polished, and timeless.

Our standard editing process includes color correction, exposure adjustments, blemish removal, and the application of our signature filmic look. This ensures every photo feels cohesive and true to the mood of your day.

If you're looking for more detailed edits, we also offer advanced retouching for an additional fee. This includes any Photoshop work beyond our standard process—such as background cleanup, object removal, or more extensive enhancements.

Can we save money by opting out of photo editing

We totally understand wanting to keep your budget in check—but editing is a key part of our creative process, so we don’t offer unedited images as part of our packages.

Think of the RAW photos from your wedding like the raw ingredients in a gourmet recipe. The potential is there, but it’s the editing—the careful color work, exposure correction, blemish removal, and our signature filmic touch—that transform your images into the final product you hired us for.

Editing ensures consistency, quality, and emotion in every image. It’s how we bring your story to life and deliver the polished, timeless gallery that reflects our brand and your memories at their best.

For that reason, we also don’t deliver RAW files. Even if you're experienced with editing yourself, when you hire Mandy & Randy, you're not just hiring cameras—you’re hiring our vision, experience, and ability to tell your story through images that are cohesive, heartfelt, and finished with intention.

How many hours of coverage do we need on our wedding day?

Great question—and the honest answer is: it depends on your day and what moments matter most to you.

Every couple and every wedding is different. Some want full-day storytelling, from the quiet moments of getting ready to the wild dance floor energy late at night. Others are planning a shorter, more intimate celebration and only need a few key moments captured.

As a general rule of thumb:

  • 9 to 12 hours of coverage is ideal if you want a complete story of your day—from bridal and groom preparations, through the ceremony, portraits, reception, and dancing.

  • 4 to 6 hours works beautifully for smaller weddings, elopements, or if you're only looking to cover the ceremony, family portraits, and couple photos.

We’re happy to walk through your timeline with you and help determine exactly how much time you’ll need based on your schedule and vision. We also offer flexible wedding photography collections starting at 4 hours to suit a wide range of celebrations.

I have some downtime between events on my wedding day. Will I be charged for the moments you’re not ACTIVELY TAKING PHOTOS?

This is a great question—and one we get often.

While it may seem like there’s “downtime” between events (like during dinner, travel, or venue resets), for us as photographers, there really is no true downtime on a wedding day. If we’re not actively shooting, we’re still working—scouting the next location, backing up files, adjusting equipment, or preparing for what’s coming next. We’re always observing and anticipating the next moment worth capturing.

Because we are fully dedicated to your event during the time we’re scheduled—regardless of whether we’re actively pressing the shutter—our coverage is continuous from the agreed start time to end time. This ensures we’re ready for every meaningful moment without rushing or missing anything in between.

That’s why, for a variety of logistical and creative reasons, we do charge for the entire duration of coverage.

If your schedule includes larger breaks or gaps, we’re always happy to help optimize your timeline to make the most of your photography coverage.

What happens if on the wedding day we go over the contracted amount of time and want you to stay?

No stress at all—we’re fully committed to your day, and we understand that weddings don’t always run on a perfect timeline.

About 30 minutes before your scheduled coverage ends, we’ll check in with you. If there’s an important moment still to come—like the cake cutting, bouquet toss, or a special dance—we’ll give you the option to fit it in right away or extend our coverage.

If you’d like us to stay longer, we’re happy to do so! Additional time is billed at the hourly rate outlined in your contract, and we’ll make sure everything is clear and agreed upon before continuing.

Our priority is to capture the full story of your wedding day, so you can stay present in the moment—without watching the clock.

Do you require a meal on the wedding day? And if so, when do you eat?

If your wedding package has us with you for 7 hours or more, we require a meal at the wedding.

Nobody wants photos of people eating. Therefore, when your guests sit down to eat, we do too. We typically eat with the DJ or in the employee service area. However, we are not glued to our chair. We sit down for a few moments and then get right back to taking photos.

Please note that we do not consume any alcohol on the day of wedding.

DO WE NEED AN ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER?

 

There are so many meaningful reasons to book an engagement session once you and your partner make it official—and we truly believe it’s one of the most valuable parts of the wedding photography experience.

  • It builds a connection with your photographer.
    Think of your engagement session as a relaxed test run before the big day. It gives us a chance to get to know each other, understand how you interact as a couple, and help you feel completely at ease in front of the camera—so that on your wedding day, you’re already comfortable and confident.

  • You’ll have beautiful images for your wedding materials.
    Engagement photos are perfect for save-the-dates, wedding invitations, your wedding website, or even a guestbook at the reception. They’re personal, professional, and completely “you.”

  • It’s a chance to capture this exciting chapter of your lives.
    Wedding photos document one day. Engagement photos capture a season—full of anticipation, excitement, and everyday love. Years from now, you’ll be so glad you froze this moment in time.

And the best part? Depending on the wedding package you choose, your engagement session may be included for free or offered at a special discounted rate.

When should we BOOK our engagement photo session?

Once you’ve booked us as your wedding photographers—typically 6 to 12 months before the big day—you can schedule your engagement session whenever it feels right for you.

Some couples want to do their shoot right away to mark the occasion and start using the photos for save-the-dates or their wedding website. Others prefer to wait until closer to the wedding date, especially if they want seasonal photos that match their wedding vibe.

Our recommendation? Try to schedule your engagement session at least 10–12 weeks before your wedding day. This gives you plenty of time to:

  • Receive your edited images

  • Use them in wedding invitations or decor

  • Share them with friends and family

  • Simply enjoy them without rushing

That said, as long as we’re available, you’re welcome to book your engagement session for any time that works best for you—whether that’s next week or next season. Just reach out when you're ready, and we’ll make it happen.

How long does it take before we receive our engagement photos?

We pride ourselves on a fast turnaround time. Engagement photos are typically edited and delivered within 7 business days, including a downloadable gallery of full-resolution JPEGs.

If you’ve booked our higher-end full collection, you may receive your images even faster—in as little as 5 business days.

If you're ordering an engagement album, production and delivery times can vary depending on the style and materials selected, but most albums are completed within 8 to 12 weeks from the time of order.

If you need your photos sooner for save-the-dates or invitations, just let us know—we’ll do our best to accommodate!

 

AFTER CARE QUESTIONS

What rights do I have to the digital FILES?

Once your final images are delivered, you’re free to use them for personal purposes—this includes downloading, printing, sharing with family and friends, and posting on social media.

However, there are a few important restrictions to keep in mind:

  • You may not sell the images, use them for commercial purposes, or submit them for publication (online or in print) without our written permission.

  • You may not alter or edit the photos in any way, including applying filters or cropping out watermarks or credits.

  • If posting online, we kindly ask that you credit Mandy & Randy when sharing.

In short, you have full personal-use rights, and we retain the copyright as creators of the work. This helps ensure the integrity and quality of the images remain intact—just as they were intended to be shared.

How many PHOTOS do you deliver FROM OUR WEDDING DAY?

The number of photos we deliver depends on a variety of factors unique to your wedding day—including the number of photographers you book, the hours of coverage, the timeline for portraits, the size of your guest list, and how much activity is happening throughout the day and evening.

Because no two weddings are alike, we focus on quality over quantity. Our goal is not to hit a number—it’s to tell your story beautifully and completely. That’s why we don’t guarantee an exact image count. Instead, we ensure every meaningful moment is thoughtfully captured, carefully edited, and delivered with intention.

That said, most full-day weddings typically 600+ images, enough to relive your day from start to finish.

If you're looking for even more coverage or additional perspectives, you may want to consider adding a second shooter. Having a second photographer allows us to capture more candid moments, guest reactions, and behind-the-scenes magic.

What if I lose or misplace my images?

We understand how much your wedding photos mean to you—and we take that responsibility seriously, even long after your big day.

That’s why we back up all of your final images on multiple hard drives and keep them archived for years. If you ever misplace or lose access to your gallery, we're here to help.

We offer a $100 replacement fee to resend your full-resolution images. This fee covers the time and care it takes to retrieve, repackage, and securely deliver your files.

Why the charge? Maintaining long-term storage requires both time and resources, and this modest fee helps us ensure we can continue to offer that peace of mind to all our couples.

Our goal is to build lasting relationships with the couples we work with—so whether it's months or years down the road, we want you to know you can always come back to us.

How long does it take to RECEIVE my WEDDING ALBUM OR prints?

While your digital photos are delivered within 5 business days, printed products like albums and fine art prints take a bit more time—because quality takes care.

Once you've selected your favorite images and approved your album design, production and delivery typically take 8 to 12 weeks. This allows time for custom printing, binding, and quality checks to ensure everything meets our standards—and yours.

If you're ordering individual prints or wall art, turnaround times may be shorter depending on the product and shipping method. We'll keep you updated every step of the way, and you'll be the first to know when your memories are ready to be held in your hands.

How many pages are included in our wedding day album?

Our custom-designed wedding albums include 30 beautifully curated pages as part of your package. These pages are thoughtfully laid out to tell the full story of your day—from the quiet getting-ready moments to the dance floor celebrations.

If you find it hard to narrow down your favorite images (and many couples do!), you’re welcome to add more pages. Additional spreads can be added for an extra cost, allowing you to include more portraits, candid moments, and details without compromise.

Do you provide clients with a framing services for wall prints?

At this time, we don’t offer custom framing services. However, we do provide a range of ready-to-hang wall art options, including our popular metal prints, which many clients love for their modern, vibrant finish and sleek, frameless design.

Metal prints are durable, easy to clean, and arrive ready to hang—making them a perfect choice for showcasing your favorite wedding or engagement images without the hassle of framing.

While we don’t offer traditional framing in-house, we’re happy to recommend high-quality local or online framing services if you choose to print your images through a third-party lab. And if you’re unsure which print style is right for your space, we’re always here to help guide you through your options.

HOW IS AN ALBUM MADE? WHO SELECTS THE IMAGES?

Our custom wedding albums are thoughtfully designed to tell the full story of your day. Each album includes 30 pages, and the number of photos featured can vary depending on your preferred layout. You might choose to showcase a single striking image per page, include several moments in a collage, or even feature a favorite photo across a full two-page spread for dramatic effect.

Here’s how the process works:

  1. We create the initial design.
    After your wedding, we carefully select a collection of images that best captures the narrative and emotion of your day—highlighting key moments, details, portraits, and candid memories.

  2. You review and revise.
    Once the first draft is ready, you’ll receive a digital proof of the album. You’re welcome to request up to two rounds of revisions, whether that’s swapping out images, adjusting layouts, or reordering spreads.

  3. Final approval & production.
    After your final approval, the album goes into production. Crafted with premium materials, your finished album will be delivered within 8–12 weeks.

This process ensures that your wedding album is a true reflection of your day—beautifully curated, custom-designed, and uniquely yours.

PAYMENTS

HOW DO I RESERVE YOU FOR MY WEDDING, ENGAGEMENT OR PORTRAIT SHOOT?

To officially reserve your date, we require a signed contract and a 50% deposit.

  • For wedding packages, 50% is due at the time of booking, and the remaining 50% is due no later than one week before the wedding day.

  • For our 4-hour wedding package, payment is required in full upfront at the time of booking.

  • For engagement and portrait sessions, payment is also due in full when booking.

if we need to cancel do we get our money back?

No, deposits are none refundable. We use them to reserve your day and turn down other work.

If we change the date of our wedding is our deposit transferable to that new date?

We understand that plans can change, and if you need to move your wedding date, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate the new date.

That said, because we often book weddings months—even years—in advance, there’s a chance we may already be committed to another couple on your new date. While this is rare, it does happen, and we handle these situations on a case-by-case basis.

If we are available on your new date, your deposit will be transferred with no issue.
If we are not available, the deposit would be non-refundable, as it secures your original date and blocks it from other bookings.

If you're considering a date change, please reach out as early as possible so we can try to make it work. We’re here to help however we can.

Do you offer any discounts on FRIDAY weddings, Sunday weddings, or WINTER weddings?

At this time, we do not offer discounts for Friday or Sunday weddings. While we appreciate that these dates are sometimes chosen for budget or availability reasons, our time, preparation, and commitment remain the same regardless of the day of the week.

As for winter weddings (November through March), we love them—but we currently do not offer seasonal discounts. Our pricing reflects the care, experience, and creative energy we bring to every wedding, no matter the date or season.

That said, if you have a unique circumstance or are planning something a little outside the box, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to chat and see how we can work together.

do you charge travel fees?

Yes, we do apply travel fees based on the distance from downtown Montreal, where we calculate our starting point.

  • Up to 100 km roundtrip: No travel fee

  • Between 100 km and 150 km roundtrip: Flat fee of $100

  • Over 150 km roundtrip: Travel fees are calculated on a case-by-case basis, depending on distance, duration, and whether overnight accommodation is required

This helps cover gas, vehicle wear, and time spent in transit. We're always transparent about these costs and will clearly outline any applicable travel fees in your contract before booking.
