From One Tired Mom to Another: Take the Photo
You may not feel camera-ready, but one day, your kids will look for you in the memories — make sure you're in them.
I’ve been a sleep-deprived mom of two for the past four years — and with baby Isla arriving in summer 2025, the chaos (and the love) is only growing. Most days, the last thing I feel like doing is being in front of a camera. So if you’ve been putting off a family portrait session, trust me — I understand.
But every single time I make the effort to be in photos with my kids, I’m so grateful I did. These hazy, messy, beautiful years go by in a blur. And while I may not remember every detail, our family photos do — they are my memories.
Now our kids climb into bed with Randy and me, flipping through our albums, laughing at how little they were, and seeing — without a doubt — how deeply they’ve always been loved. Those moments remind me that I wish I had taken even more photos.
