Capturing Jennifer & Alex's Lavender Field Maternity Session
As a Montreal-based maternity photographer, I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer and Alex at the picturesque La Maison Lavande in Saint-Eustache, Quebec. They reached out to document the anticipation of their first child, and we were honored to capture this special chapter in their lives.
We scheduled the session about an hour before sunset to take advantage of the golden hour light. The lavender fields were in full bloom, providing a serene and fragrant backdrop that perfectly complemented the couple's joy and excitement.
A Relaxed and Intimate Maternity Session
The atmosphere was calm and inviting as we strolled through the lavender rows. Jennifer and Alex shared laughter and tender moments, making the session feel more like a leisurely walk than a photoshoot. Interestingly, we discovered that we attended the same high school—a delightful coincidence that added a personal touch to our time together.
Jennifer’s parents came along for the session too, which made everything feel even more special. You could feel how excited they were, and it added such a nice energy to the shoot. Some of my favorite photos are the quiet, candid moments between them having dinner—there’s something really beautiful about capturing not just the parents-to-be, but the love surrounding them.
