Traditionally eloping is a marriage conducted without the knowledge of the couple's family and friends. However, in 2020 an elopement can be whatever you want it to be.
You can have an intimate affair that just includes the two of you, or you can celebrate your wedding day with a smaller group of just your closest family and friends. The point is, you get to make the rules. Take time to reflect on what will honour your love and commitment. Then simply follow your heart. In doing so you can’t go wrong.
There are so many creative ways that people are choosing to get married through the Covid-19 pandemic. From getting married in the safety of your own home, to venturing out into nature for an outdoor ceremony, there are some wonderful options for couples who don’t want to cancel or postponed their nuptials.
Bigger isn’t always better, and a micro wedding, while not your initial choice, could end up being better than the big celebration you originally had planned.

Eloping in the era of Coronavirus means you’re putting your love first and the details second. I personally think that’s a beautiful thing!
There will absolutely be some compromises that will have to be made in order for your wedding to fit in to the current regulations (especially if you’re looking to get married in 2020). However, once you’re married to your soulmate, I doubt you will feel any regrets about your wedding day.
