PLANNING YOUR BACHELORETTE PARTY? DON’T FORGET TO BOOK YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

A couple of weeks ago we got an email from San Francisco bride Christina, who was planning a trip to Montreal for her bachelorette party. Christina and her gals (and guy!) wanted to experience everything Montreal had to offer!

They were planning on taking in a Montreal Canadiens game, eating at the renowned Schwartz's Deli, and of course exploring the Old Port of Montreal. Christina reached out about doing a photography session during her bachelorette party trip and asked us to act as both their photographer and tour guide during their Old Port visit. Naturally, we were more than happy to oblige.

EXPLORING THE OLD PORT OF MONTREAL

TAKING IN THE SIGHTS

On the day of the visit, we met up with Christina and her 7 bachelorette’s at the Science Centre, located at the King Edward Pier. Upon arriving, we could feel the excitement from the group. For most of them this was their first time in Montreal and they wanted to take in all the sights.

To start the photoshoot tour we took this eager bunch to the Montreal Clock Tower, located in Quai de l'Horloge. A staple of the Old Port, it’s an absolute must see for anyone visiting Montreal for the first time. This location also offers a breathtaking view of the Jacques Cartier Bridge—and if you happen to be by at night, you can see it light up in an array of beautiful colours.

We then headed north to visit the lovely Bonsecours Market. A beautiful location, this two-story domed public market has been for more than 100 years the main public market in the Montreal area and is considered to be one of Canada's ten finest heritage buildings. Here Christina and her friends enjoyed tasting la tire d'érable sur la neige (fresh maple syrup on snow), Quebec's most traditional activity!

From there we strolled along the cobblestones of St-Paul Street, in the heart of Old Montreal. This vibrant neighbourhood with its café culture, shops and galleries, and historic 17th and 18th century architecture is rich with European charm and history, of which was not lost on our now tiering group.

The day came to an end with everyone in good spirits. All in all, it was a beautiful afternoon full of laughs, good conversation, silliness, and of course a gallery of beautiful photos!

Almost all our couples book for us for an engagement session prior to their wedding. However, with bachelorette party photography becoming very popular with brides to be, we are getting more requests to capture those once in a lifetime bachelorette party moments.
