How We Keep Your Wedding Photos Safe — From First Click to Final Delivery
If you’re planning your wedding in Montreal, the Eastern Townships, or anywhere in Quebec, chances are you’ve spent hours dreaming about your photos — the look, the light, the love. And you’re probably wondering: what if something goes wrong?
Totally fair. Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and your photos are the one thing that lasts long after the party ends. That’s why photo security isn’t something we leave to chance — it’s something we plan for at every step.
Here’s how we keep your wedding photos safe from the first shutter click to final delivery.
Under the lilacs, in the rain — captured and backed up the second it happened.
🎥 1. Dual Memory Cards = Instant Backup
Every camera we use is equipped with dual memory card slots. That means every single photo is written to two cards at once — like a real-time backup system.
If one card fails (has never happened but we are being extra safe), we’ve still got every single image. You might never see this part of the process, but trust us — it’s doing some heavy lifting behind the scenes.
🔁 2. Fresh Cards, Always
We’re not out here shooting the most important day of your life on a memory card from 2017. 😅
We regularly retire old cards and rotate in brand new, high-quality memory cards every few weddings. Why? Because memory cards don’t last forever — and we don’t mess around when it comes to your images.
We also avoid putting everything on one giant card. Instead, we spread the day across multiple smaller cards — just in case.
How we keep your wedding photos safe — from day one.
💾 3. Your Photos Are Backed Up the Same Day
As soon as we get home, your photos are backed up in multiple places. Before editing, before Instagram, before anything.
Your wedding photos get stored on:
Our main editing computer
(which is also cloud-synced ☁️)
A backup external hard drive 💽
A second off-site drive 🔐
That’s three copies — minimum — before we even start choosing our favorites.
The veil lifted with the breeze for just a second — and we caught it. Twice. Saved on two cards, backed up that night, and yours forever.
🚫 4. We Don’t Delete Originals Until You Have Everything
Even after your full gallery is delivered, we keep your original files for a while — just in case. We don’t rush to clear memory cards or wipe hard drives the second the photos go out. It’s an extra layer of protection that gives everyone peace of mind.
That said, while we’ve never lost a wedding (and never plan to!), we always recommend that you download your entire gallery in high resolution as soon as you receive it. Save it on your computer, an external hard drive, or even the cloud — or all three! That way, you’ve got your own backup too.
We’ve got you covered on our end — but it’s always a good idea to have a copy on yours.
Before the pose, the real magic. Candid moments like this? Backed up in real time — because they’re everything.
❤️ Your Memories Matter — So We Protect Them
We don’t just want your wedding photos to look amazing. We want you to feel confident they’re safe — from the moment they’re taken to the moment you open your gallery.
So while you’re dancing, laughing, crying, or popping champagne 🍾 — we’re behind the scenes, making sure every one of those memories is backed up, protected, and ready to relive for years to come.
