Candid Family Photos at La Fontaine Park
Candid Family Photos at La Fontaine Park
Montreal Family Photographer
When Lee Ann reached out for updated family photos, she was hoping for something simple, natural, and outdoors — nothing too posed or stiff. We decided on La Fontaine Park, right in the heart of the Plateau. It turned out to be the perfect location for a summer session.
With its tree-lined paths, open grassy areas, and peaceful ponds, Parc La Fontaine offers families plenty of space to relax, move, and just be together — and that’s exactly what this shoot was all about.
Because sometimes the best family moments happen in motion.
A Laid-Back Summer Session
Lee Ann’s family brought great energy and an easygoing vibe. We walked around the park, played with their son, and captured moments in between — the kind where everyone forgets the camera is even there. Which is exactly what we strive for with every shoot.
In the summer, the light filters beautifully through the trees, and the greens around the park, and creates the perfect backdrop for natural, timeless family portraits.
Golden hour? More like “bribed with snacks” hour
Thinking About a Family Photoshoot in Montreal?
If you're a parent thinking about family photos but worried it might feel awkward or too posed, you're not alone. We get it — kids don’t always sit still, and life is already busy enough. That’s why places like Parc La Fontaine work so well. It’s open, relaxed, and full of space for little ones to explore while we capture real moments along the way.
Whether it’s just the three of you or you’re including grandparents, we keep the session simple and low-pressure. You don’t need to plan anything fancy — just show up as you are. We’ll guide you through the whole thing and help you walk away with photos that actually feel like you. (If you're wondering what to expect or bring, here's a quick checklist we put together.)
We offer 30, 60, and 2-hour packages, depending on your needs. Sessions book up quickly during the summer and fall months, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead.
